Alright I have been working on this idea since reading book 5. I think that the bizarro corridor in the Department of Mysteries may be a kind of container. Yes, we all know that that's where the dead go. But its not exactly heaven.

So here's my thought. What if this corridor/room/area holds the souls of those who have been robbed of their lives by magic. Those who have been cursed into dying. The AK is the most obvious example.

There is a folktale/fantasy tradition that when a great evil is destroyed all the pain they inflicted is reversed. So could it be that when Voldemort is defeated that all the curses he has performed to kill people might be undone? That they oculd come back to life? Obviously this is really really optimistic, but it is an intriguing thought I think.

It is very interesting ...
I have to say thou - JKR has stated that we will never see an alive Lily and James - Sirius is dead etc etc ...
I think that is the only flaw I can see in your post above - the concept I like a lot - and it could be what was behind the door in the DoM ...

Um, I think I have to agree with Blaise on the whole reversal thing. I really doubt that once Voldemort is defeated, his victims will all come back to life - although that would definitely be really nice and i sure wouldn't complain if it happened! :p

I really do like the idea for a storage center for those robbed of their lives.. it was a strange corridor - and there has to be some other use for it, so why not - lol ;)
