Ok, this might be an old topic, so I apologize. . .

Ok, this may not be very relevant. But yesterday, I got my first pair of glasses, and everything that was entailed (an eye exam, prescriptions, finding frames, and all of that.) I have a hard time believing that the Dursley's would take the time (and money) to have Harry's eyes checked, get him a prescription, and then shell out $200-400 or so, for a pair of glasses. . . It's always bugged me. . . What do you guys think? How did Harry get his Glasses?

OK - in the UK we have a thing called NHS - National Health System - and anyone under 16 gets free dental and Opticians visits and treatment - including free glasses.
Added to this kids get eyes tests at school (well did when I was there!) - I think that might answer the question for you there - not too exciting sorry :(

Yeah sorry it wasnt any more exciting - I have had thoughts like that as well and they lead to a really boring answer - still, never stops me asking them!

Here in the U.S. we had our eyes check as well. Although that was only in elementary school. I'm not sure if there is anyone that provides glasses for kids though.
