I just thought that I would ask being that I'm sure someone here knows the answer, I hope anyways. In the Goblet of Fire, the first chapter "The Riddle House" it is said that Mr. and Mrs. Riddle had a son named Tom, well their is nothing wierd about 2 people having a son right well....Mr. Riddle would be Toms dad...and Mrs. Riddle would be his stepmom, nothing that strange yet...then you come to find that Tom Riddle is Lord Voldemort if you remember the Chamber of secrets. Ok so when the maid came she saw all 3 of them dead...it leads me to believe that Mr. and Mrs. Riddle and their son Tom were all 3 killed. I dont understand that. How could Lord Voldemort kill himself? How did I come to the conclusion that it was Lord Voldemort that killed the Riddles? Frank Bryce says to the police that the only person that he saw around the Riddles house the day of the deaths was a teenage boy, a stranger, dark haird and pale. That fits LV's description very well when he was younger and being that it was 50 years ago he would be that description wouldnt he? Also it says that no one else had seen the boy anywhere. how could no one have seen him?

So I guess my questions are as follows:
1. How was Tom Riddle killed 50 years ago when he is Lord Voldemorts past, present, and future?

2. Was it Voldemort that killed the Riddles when he was a teenager? He later says that he did indeed kill him muggle father.

3. Why did only Frank Bryce see Lord Voldemort or whoever the teenage boy was, when no one else had seen him at all?

I hope you guys can answer these questions for me as I have been trying to figure them out for quite some time now. Thanks.

So I guess my questions are as follows:
1. How was Tom Riddle killed 50 years ago when he is Lord Voldemorts past, present, and future?
Tom Riddle was the one that killed his grandparents, and his father. Not his fathe, step-mother, and himself.
Elderly Mr. and Mrs. Riddle had been rich, snobbish, and rude, and their grown-up son, Tom, had been, if anything, worse.

2. Was it Voldemort that killed the Riddles when he was a teenager? He later says that he did indeed kill him muggle father.

Yes, Tom killed his grandparents and his father...

3. Why did only Frank Bryce see Lord Voldemort or whoever the teenage boy was, when no one else had seen him at all?

He was probably trying not to be seen, and just didn't know that Frank was on the grounds. If he was trying to sneak around the house, he might not have paid attention to the cottage that was there...

I have to support what Wheezy is saying, that Voldemort (aka Riddle) killed his grandparents and parents and that no-one saw him as him because that is what Voldemort wanted - he did not want to be associated with the murders. Also, I think they may well have been some magic done here, either with memory charms or even that old chestnut, time travel...

Oh ok so the Riddles are his grandparents and Tom Riddle is his dad? Am I getting it right now because that would make sense, well in any case thanks for the reply yall.

Yes - Tom Riddle Sr. was his father and Tom Riddle Jr. is Lord Voldemort. If I remember correctly Voldemort murdered them because his father abandoned him and his mother after learning she was a witch. His mother then died while she was giving birth and he was sent to an orphanage to be raised.

Everyone is correct in assuming that Voldemort killed his grandparents and his dad - remember, his dad's name was Tom Riddle as well - Voldemort says this when he talks about how his fool Muggle dad left him with his silly name or something like that.

I think it was pretty much answered - and BTW I asked the same question because I saw it your way as well - so dont feel stupid or anything - in fact you wont be the last person ever to come to the same conclusion :)

One thing to add here - but seems that this could have been the turning point where Tom/Voldemort actually became a first hand killer, he killed all three people ...
I wonder if he actually spoke to them and if so - we will see another flash back to hear the conversation?
