Re: dumbledore is gay

If she wanted a gay Dumbledore to promote openmindedness, she should have said it in the series, easily she could have fit that in, it would have better explained how Dumbledore so completely lost...

Re: Ideas for the future... a request?

I would think too that there would be trouble over that wand. Very powerful wand, everyone will notice he's not using it, and wonder where it went, plenty of people would probably try to find it.

Re: Ideas for the future... a request?

If Harry is resistant about going back for the final year at Hogwarts, the Weasleys could always put their foot down and insist that if he is going to date their daughter, he must finish school...

Re: Had Neville been the chosen one

That is a good point, his Grandma would have sure taken advantage of the situation. And it might have given Neville some confidence. Of course Snape didn't have a thing for Alice so he probably...

Re: The Elder Wand

She was probably fretting that eventually people would figure out that she had Dumbledore introduce them to the idea of the Deathly Hallows for no good reason. I am sure failing to see the point...

Re: Room of Requirement * I need ideas - I need ideas - I need ideas.

Oh a professor Threlawny is a wonderful idea, don't think I would let them throw nerf balls around, you could have like a snitch hunt though (instead of Easter Eggs) with a Prize Snitch. And even a...

Re: The Elder Wand

Jim,
I guess so, I guess Grindewald did have to be a true master for Dumbledore to have been. I keep seeing sources all over the net saying that Grindewald stunned Georgovitch on his way out, I...

Re: The Elder Wand

I don't underestimate Dumbledores cunning, I just think that Grindewald faced a situation much like Voldemort, in that the wand would not work properly for him in a duel, because like Voldemort, he...

You can do a giant spider out of balloons,

Re: The Elder Wand

Jimenem,
If you can have the allegience by stealing it, why was Dumbledore able to beat Grindewald in the Duel when Grindewald had the Elder Wand?

Re: The Elder Wand

It can't be that you have to always defeat the last true master of the Elder wand to win it's allegiance, because no one could have defeated the very first master, because he was dead, so it has to...

Re: Cover Art wrong?

It appears the pillars etc, are weathered, which I guess could be chalked up to damage from fighting, but look at the shadows, people appear to be seated, watching, in stadium like seating. It...

Re: The Elder Wand

Ok, I looked this up and Grindewald had STOLEN the wand from Georgovitch, so Grindewald was never a TRUE master of the wand, he had it, but it never worked for him as the wand would have worked for a...

Re: Questions about Deathly Hallows

The Voldemort flying thing was something that I expected to see more of too, I had forgotten about it, because they were all very excited about it. When Gregorovitch was first mentioned, I thought...

Re: What Protected Harry?

Ok, no it wouldn't have killed Tom/Voldemort if Dumbledore had not shown up on OotP, when Voldemort was trying to kill Harry, sure it would have backfired, and sent the spell back onto Voldemort...

Re: What Protected Harry?

Caged, I agree, Dumbledore didn't set the age limit. The charm was already in existence, it was described as ancient magic. Voldemort said that he knew it, but had forgotten it. And I really do...

Re: Magic Late in Life

I read an opinion that has softened me a little on it all, a man was saying that books 1-6 were a labor of love for her, they were fun to write, but book 7 was the end, and that alone was enough to...

Re: What Protected Harry?

I think she was kind of all over the board with this protection thing.

It goes in a circle. Was he only protected at Petunia's until 17 by the second protection, the charm? If so why couldn't...

Re: voldermorts return/voldermort number 2

Of course I do not believe they were terrorists, but then again, I do not believe that a lot of people who have been defined as terrorist in this 'war on terror' were either.

I am also wondering, why was it necessary for Snape to appear to Voldemort to be well informed on...
