The title of the seventh and final Potter book has been revealed - it's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
The title was revealed on JK Rowling's website, and her spokesperson in Edinburgh confirmed to Newsround that it is the title.
JK made her fans work for the title though, because you have to play a game on the website to access it.
You have to find a secret door, work out how to open the door and then play a game of hangman to learn the title.

Could this mean an action packed Halloween?

I think it'll more likely be another graveyard, as in hallowed ground, as in, where mom and dad are buried. CNN is also reporting it.
Personally, I think it's a silly title, but then until you read each book, all the titles seem sort of silly.

Re: Book 7 name revealed
... I had a better one
Once again JKR keeps everyone from the real name ... and what an interesting name is it not?
Deathly Hallows ... doesnt sound good for Harry and co right
Sounds almost like Voldemort's home address - bit like Godrics Hollow!
This will mean something in the books - all titles have to date ... It is a grower me thinks but I think she should have gone with The Final Horcrux ... but then again I am biased right

I found the following reference to “Hallows”

Could this indicate further help from Dumbledore, Sirius, James and Lily?

Well, I didnt agree with you on that one in title thread. The reason was, as a fan we can always predict or assume things. Your idea of keeping it simple was not a bad one either. I started down the same thoughts too.
But I think JKR can not make it as simple as that. She has to keep readers guessing. She has to keep her readers up and running all the time. Which is the reason for her success.
I am not really a fan of that title. What I am really fan of, is JKR's thinking method.
"Deathly Hollows" is going to keep fans talking about it, until it comes out.
"Final Horcrux" is a title even I loved, and prefered. But that title would have given fans just few days of excitement and then back to usual life.......

Re: Book 7 name revealed
I dont believe that i can vote on this one (not yet at least), the title was sort of a shock for me, not really what i expected...but then again what did i expect? Of course J.K.Rowling isnt going to give away the story, she is going to leave us guessing/speculating with no possible way of knowing 100% what it exactly means. But in time i am sure i will love it (N.B. when i say in time, max of three days, actually maybe tomorrow, yeah i think i will sleep on it , it is to early to be thinking at 3:40am ) I think i will finish this here as im not entierly sure this even makes sense...

So I guess your April fools joke did not turn out to be a prophesy then Alz. Not "The Final Horcrux" after all then
