Unspoiled and Finished!!!!!!!
I am so proud! I managed to not only start the book without letting someone ELSE spoil me, but I didn't jump ahead once. I read it as it came! And, it took about 11 1/2 hours. I'm exhausted, but I loved it! (still not over one of the deaths, though).

Re: Unspoiled and Finished!!!!!!!
I got mine digitally first, but I too did it without peeking ahead. Got a favorite chapter yet? If so, post a number (not a name!).. My favorite was 19.. Just sort of had the classic "HP" feel to it. Overall, I liked the book, a few things didn't go the way I'd hoped but many things were perfectly done. Can't wait until we get the go ahead to start disecting how everything went down!
Hey Alz, how about setting up a private forum, where members have to opt-in (as in, be put into a specific user group by you) to read it and post to it? That way, it'd keep the unspoiled eyes from getting annoyed..

Re: Unspoiled and Finished!!!!!!!
I'm probably with you on nineteen -- though I also really liked thirty (for obvious reasons related to nineteen ).
I cried for one -- all of twenty-four. I think all other tears this time paled in comparison.
I second Vold's request, if Alz comes to visit. I'd love to talk with someone about it but I don't want to offend anyone by posting too much too soon.
I must say THIS is the worst part -- the waiting to talk about it. Can't wait to dissect with all of you!

Re: Unspoiled and Finished!!!!!!!
yeah, I thought you might be strutting just a little bit lol can't wait for the forum!
Might it be simpler just to hide the existing DH discussion forums for a couple weeks? That way, when the time limit is up, all the threads we post NOW will be in the right place, for everyone to read..

Re: Unspoiled and Finished!!!!!!!
I have to say... the book answered quite a few questions!!! As for favourite chapters I'd have to say the last one was pretty good

Re: Unspoiled and Finished!!!!!!!
was anyone else feeling quite depressed when they finished? one early upset had me in tears for ages, and im still upset actually and as for the memories near the end i dont think i have tears left!
i also had the feeling of too much information and too many answers coming too fast!

Re: Unspoiled and Finished!!!!!!!
Don't feel depressed at all, nor overwhelmed with the answers. I feel quite satisfied and happy. - Well done, JKR. :-)
And, I must admit: Some of the discussions here prepared me for some of the developments in HP7. So: Well done, Alz & The Final Horcrux, too :-))
Thirdly, I'm glad that some of the theories developed here didn't materialize in HP7, so it turns out that I was right with my skepticism. ;-)

Re: Unspoiled and Finished!!!!!!!
hannah, I kind of agree. The book was great, but it did feel a bit rushed. And to completely honest, the conclusion that Harry came to in the last chapter was a stretch for him. Hermione could have figured that out in a heartbeat, but Harry has never been known as a great thinker. It was monsterously clever, but I just don't see Harry coming up with it on his own. I need to re-read his, ummm, meeting that occured shortly before that scene to be sure it wasn't someone else's idea.. As for being depressed, the 3rd one broke my heart. What really stinks is that I had no idea how attached to that paticular character I was. But in the end, it made sense to happen that way. The character was probably most honored with how and why it happened. JKR broke my heart and made me love her, all at the same time right there..
Alz, I hope none of that is a spoiler for anyone. I tried to be careful..

Re: Unspoiled and Finished!!!!!!!
Can't quite believe I've finished reading. I just loved it. My eyes are still red and puffy both from the sad bits and uplifting bits. Not feeling very eloquent as I feel I've just come off a thrill seeking ride but wanted to see others' reactions.
Looking forward to a more indepth discussion when the opportunity arrises - plenty of scenes in the book I'd like to discuss further!
Oh, by the way, my favourite chapter after much consideration is probably chapter 33. And the epilogue!
