Re: It's all in the name

I like the new name. I gives people a kind of preview as to what they're going to see when they come onto the website. Mature Potter didn't really give any hints. I just gave an age limit.

I think it's a great name - To me it just seems more inviting and welcoming than MaturePotter ever did.

Re: It's all in the name

Yeah, I was always a little unsure of the name Mature Potter.
While it summed up quite nicely the aim - it seemed dubious almost!

I guess TFH just seemed to make so much sense in all aspects - I am glad you are all liking it

Re: It's all in the name

I like the new name, but I also liked Mature Potter, because it was different to all the others and instantly told people that it was a site not aimed at children...on the other hand, some people thought it was a site for discussing Harry and his old peoples home...

Re: It's all in the name

LOL - yah I can see what you mean!
I think the reason I came up with the name in the first place was because I was trying to express that from that point on - it was all about the discussions.
I wanted some strong, hard debating on the Potter series and as such expressing the site in the title I did was all about that. Mind you - took me three attempts to get the right name - wonder if anyone can work out the other 2 domain names I registered at the same time and have never been disclosed?

I think there is still Merit in Mature Potter and I was very tempted to have it added onto the Banner with The Final Horcrux ... but I figured it really might confuse!

Re: It's all in the name

You know, although I like the way MaturePotter tells people straight away the site is geared towards an older audience, the final horcrux is a much catchier title IMO. Just my two cents :P

Re: It's all in the name

I LOVE the new name!!! It's so.. i don't know how to say it, but JUST RIGHT!
Now that HBP's out and practically everyone around the world has read it, everyone must be going off, "huh? what are the horcruxes?"
It's much catchier than Mature Potter, which just gave off the age limit and such.
Good job for coming up with the name in first place!

Re: It's all in the name

At first I didn't, but I usually hate things when I first come in contact with them. It's begining to grow on me, though the habit of changing from MP to FH is proving a bit difficult.

Give it a while and I will be saying, "Mature Potter? That old site?"

I do like the color scheme on this one more though.

Re: It's all in the name

The name is great. It sums up what the site is about. It also makes the site more searchable, that is, anyone out there searching for Potter or Horcurxes, (which you know there are tons looking for Horcurxes) will give the site more exposure, I think anyway

There are surely not that many websites with Horcrux in the name so it will be high on the hit list.
