Re: Ginny and Tom Riddle

To add a bit in here - there is another thread in which the quote from CoS came up where Tom Riddle says that he "poured a little bit of his soul" into Ginny and vice versa. Now that is interesting as well and could potentially have some bearing on this conversation. Does she still have any of that "soul" in her and what could that mean in the future?

Another thing that caught my eye when I was reading CoS (saw that Nagini also noticed this one in her CbyC) was in the beginning when the Weasleys and Harry are trying to leave the Burrow to get to the station on time, they have to keep going back because people forgot things (fireworks, etc.), and it mentions that Ginny went back to fetch her diary! So, this was a couple weeks after they went to Diagon Alley and she had already figured out how it worked and was conversing with Tom Riddle! Just another of those times when JKR puts in something that seems a minor detail, but turns out to be fantastically important to the story!
