Question What was your number 1 favorite thing in the book?

After careful consideration, I think it's Harry calling Voldemort "Tom Riddle." That's the ultimate insult to VM, and completely puts Harry on Dumbledore's level.

Re: What was your number 1 favorite thing in the book?

For me it was having the three muscateers back together: Harry, Ron, and Hermione. I always loved the early books for that reason, so it was nice to have them all back as opposed to having a very Harry-centric finish.

I loved that Molly killed Bellatrix the most I think.

Re: What was your number 1 favorite thing in the book?

i loved the story of the three brothers, very well written. snape's memories he gave to harry just broke my heart, i can't even begin to explain i was in tears the whole time, when lily asks snape whether being muggle-born means anything and he says it doesn't...i get teary remembering it. but that has to be my favourite part and probably learning about the bloody baron, that was a huge shock

At the moment its hard to comprehend everything in the book i think for me my no1 favourite thing at the moment at least was when Snape asked Harry to look at him before he died as to see Lily's eyes once more that to me said everything more then words could say and i guess now we know why Harry having Lily's eyes was so important.

Re: What was your number 1 favorite thing in the book?

i honestly cannot choose. everything above, i agree with.

i also loved harry's final battle, the way he pulled it all off. walking wandless to face voldemort, narcissa helping him feign death, revealing himself to save yet another weasley.

so many things, so so many!

realising that petunia meant snape with her comments regarding lily running off to that school, and hearing about that boy talking to lily about dementors.

harry explaining to his son that he was named after two great wizards.

hermione planting a kiss on ron FINALLY after he asks what they should do about the house elves in the hogwarts kitchen.

ohhh i have to read it again to pick a favourite part

Re: What was your number 1 favorite thing in the book?

Although, the last word of the book was not 'Scar,' I like the way she ended in the future. And regardless of what she has said, she left a huge opening to continue on with the story.

My favorite part of the ending was how Harry named his young son Albus Severus. That was great, but I can't imagine what the little guy would go through at school with a name like that!

Re: What was your number 1 favorite thing in the book?

In addition to how it all ends - Harry causing LVs death without killing him, plus the epilogue - it's little details that I like a lot.
- Harry calling LV by his real name (same as halliemei)
- Luna's room being decorated with her friends' portraits, linked by the repeated word "friends"
- Harry stunning Carrow for spitting at McGonegall
- Hermione kissing Ron (same as kashlie)
- Dobby's brave action & Harry's mourning for him
- The ride on the dragon
- Harry's conversation with Dumbledore in this quasi near-death experience
... and quite a few more details (oh, Lee Jordan as the anchor of the secret radio programme, for one ...)

edit: Ooops. I've just realized that my answer was not precisely on-topic ... but there is no single No. 1 for me.
