WAs one of the few to not think Harry was the Heir of Slytherin in CoS. Made up rumors about Sirius Black in POA. Supported Cedric in the Triwizard Tournament in GoF. Hufflepuff Prefect in OotP. Member of the DA. Was the first to recieve the Calming Draught from Madame Pomfrey to relieve stress from the O.W.L.s.... was one of the students on the train home from Hogwarts to curse Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle when they ambushed Harry. She was mentioned in all 5 Books.

Acromantula - Giant Spider from another land - He has a wife by the name of Mosag. - Hagrids pet that he raised from an egg when he was in his 3rd year at Hogwarts. Arogog was thought to be the Monster in the Chamber of Secrets. Now is the blind leader of a large clan of man-eating spiders in the Forbidden Forest. Harry and Ron went to him for answers during COS. He told them of the Basilisk and the girl who was killed by it 50 years before. Also told them of Hagrids innocence.

A very old Wizard who refused to change from his flowery nightgown to pinstriped trousers at the Quidditch World Cup because he likes a healthy breeze round his privates in GOF.

Avery
Deatheater still at large - Avoided going to Azkaban by saying that he was under the Imperius Curse. Returned to Voldemort in the cemetery out of fear vs loyalty and Voldemort used the Cruciatus Curse on him in the Circle of Deatheaters in GOF. Told Voldemort that Bode would be able to remove the Prophecy from the Dept. of Mysteries in OotP. Was one of the Deatheaters at the Dept. of Mysteries in the Ministry when during the fight.

Missing - Head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports - Gave Mr. Weasley tickets to the top box at the Quidditch World Cup. Made a bet with Fred and George that Ireland would win but Krum would catch the snitch and lost, paid them in Leprechaun gold. Tried to help Harry in the Triwizard Tournament because he had made a bet with Goblins that Harry would win and lost... Disappeared following the last task. Was also on trial for being a deatheater(passing information to Voldemort supporters) but got off due to his many fans from the time he was a beater for the Wimborne Wasps. Also refused to send anyone to look for Bertha Jorkins when she disappeared in GOF

Professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry - Teaches History of Magic(the most boring class at the school). Only Ghost to teach

at Hogwarts. He fell asleep in the Staff room, got up the next morning and left his body behind. He told the class about the Legend of the

Chamber of Secrets.

Sirius' favorite cousin - Mother of Tonks - Married a Muggleborn, Ted Tonks. Her name was burned off the Family Tapestry.

Sirius' cousin, Sister to Andromeda and Narcissus - Married pure blood Rodolphus Lestrange. Was sent to Alzkaban for torturing the

Longbottoms with the Cruciatus Curse to find the Whereabouts of Voldemort. Escaped in OotP, rejoined Voldemort, and sent Sirius through the

veil during the battle in the Department of Mysteries.

Sirius' Aunt - Started the tradition of mounting the heads of House Elves once they became too old to carry tea trays.

Sirius' Mother - Her Portrait hangs in the Grimmauld Place with a Permanent Sticking Charm and cannot be removed. Curses Sirius and all the

others of the Order for being Traitors. She basted Sirius off the Family Tapestry after he ran away. Supported Voldemorts beliefs in

purifying the Wizarding race.

Harry's Godfather - Animagus - Padfoot, a large black dog.- Was one of the Marauders who created the Marauder's Map - Was sent to Azkaban,

without a trial, for killing Peter Pettigrew along with 12 muggles, was also thought to have sold out the Potter's to Voldemort. Escaped

Azkaban in POA, cut was unable to clear his name because Pettigrew escaped him again. Escaped the Dementors again by flying off on Buckbeak,

a hippogriff in POA. Member of the Order of the Phoenix. Used his family home, 12 Grimmauld Place, that was left to him for the Order's

Headquarters. Was killed in OotP by Bellatrix Lestrange. He fell threw the Veil when she hit him with a curse.

Slytherin Student - Keeper for the Slytherin Quidditch team. He hit Alicia Spinnet from behind with a curse in the Library to cause her

eyebrows to grow so thick and fast that they obscured her vision and obstructed her mouth.

Slytherin House Ghost - He is covered in Slivery Blood. Only one who can control Peeves.

Lead singer of the Hobgobblins - He retired from public life after being struck on the ear by a turnip at a concert in Little Norton Church

Hall. Mistaken for Sirius Black by a reader of the Quibbler

regaining his power of speech.

wanted to give Trolls rights and stop Troll-hunting.

Gardener for the Riddle family - Was arrested for the murders of Mr. Mrs. and Tom Riddle Sr. He stayed as the gardener for each family that

had bought the house. He was killed by Voldemort in the Riddle house at the beginning of GOF and was the 2nd shadow to appear from the wand

at the Cemetery.

Hippogriff - Hagrid's first lesson as Care of Magical Creatures Teacher. Bit Draco because Draco insulted him. Was sentenced to Death for

attacking a student. Helped Sirius escape from Hogwarts in POA and has been "on the run" with him since. Sirius had placed him in his mothers

bedroom at Grimmauld Place.

Slytherin student - Fought with Hermione at the Dueling club in COS. Hermione planned to use her hair for the Polyjuice potion, but

mistakenly took a hair of Millecent's cat from her robe instead. Part of the Inquisitor's Squad.

Mad Knight in a Portrait who helped Ron and Harry find the North Tower for their Divination lesson by running through prtraits. He also

replaced The Fat Lady as the guardian of the entrance to the Gryffindor Common Room in POA after she was attacked by Sirius Black. At that

time, he spent half his time challenging people to duels, and the rest thinking up ridiculously complicated passwords, which he changed at

least twice a day. He was fired after letting Sirius into the Gryffindor tower.

Hermione's cat - Large cat with Ginger-colored fur, a squashed face and bowlegged - A big part of POA - Attacked Scabbers in the Magical Menagerie. He befriended Padfoot and in turn Sirius. Recognized Padfoot was not just a dog. He was helping Sirius by bringing Pettigrew to him, and when he couldn't, he brought Sirius the passwords to the Gryffindor tower that Neville left on his bedside table. He saved Sirius' life when Harry was about to kill him by curling up on Sirius' chest. He disable the Whomping Willow and led Harry and Hermione through the
passage to the Shrieking Shack. Sirius descibed Crookshanks as the most intelligent of his kind.

Crouch, Bartemius (Sr.)
Worked for the Ministry of Magic as Head of the Dept. of International Magical Cooperation. - Percy Weasley's Boss.He kept calling Percy Weatherby in GOF. Fired his house elf, Winky, for using magic in GOF. Had once been The Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.

He sent Sirius Black to Azkzban without a trial. Rose through the Ministry quickly and was in line for the Minister of Magic position, until his son was caught with a group of Deatheaters and he had sent his only son and name sake to Azkaban for being a follower of Voldemort and being a part of the attack on the Longbottoms. Helped his son out of Azkaban when his wife took his place. He used the Imperius Curse to control his son. He was killed by his son after fighting off the Imperius Curse he had been under since the World Cup.

Crouch, Bartemius (Jr.)
Impersonated Mad Eye Moody in GOF - Taught DADA as Moody. Placed his father under the Imperius Curse and eventually killed, transfigured him into a bone and buried him in Hagrid's garden. As a young man, he was with a group of Deatheaters who tortured the Longbottoms to find Voldemort and return him to power. He was sent to Azkaban by his father, and his mother took his place before she died. After being caught by Dumbledore, he was given the Dementor's Kiss on order from Fudge.

Crouch, Mrs.
Changed places with Barty Jr. in Azkaban, to help him escape, right before her death.

Ravenclaw student - Ravenclaw Quidditch Captain and chaser - Took Fleur Delecour to the Yule Ball in GOF. Also asked Cho Chang out in OotP

Ron had a crush on herin GOF. In OotP, she began working at Gringotts to improve her English with alot of private lessons from Bill Weasley.

Healer at St. Mungo's 1722 - 1741, and Headmistress at Hogwarts 1741 - 1768 - Her portrait hangs in St. Mungo's and in DUmbledore's office.

Dumbledore sent her to check on Mr. Weasley after he was attacked at the Ministry.

Diggle, Dedalus
suspected of setting off shooting stars following the "death" of Voldemort. Met Harry in the Leaky Cauldron in PS/SS. Member of the Order of the Phoenix. Was also part of the Advanced guard that came to get Harry from the Dursley's in OotP.

Diggory, Amos
Father of Cedric - Works for the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures in the ministry of Magic. Shared a portkey to the Quidditch World Cup with the Weasleys, Harry and Hermione. First we see who perfroms the Priori Incantatum spell. Also First we see who uses the fireplace to communicate. Tells Mr. Weasley about the trouble at Moody's.(GOF)

Diggory, Cedric
Hufflepuff student - Hufflepuff Quidditch Captain and seeker - Only seeker to beat Harry (in POA) - Hogwarts Triwizard Champion (along with Harry) - Harry told him about the dragons bfore the 1st task. And in return Cedric helped Harry figure out the egg clue for the 2nd task.

Faced the Swedish Shortsnout int he first task. Was the first to return with his hostage (Cho Chang) in the 2nd task, and was attacked with the Cruciatus Curse by Viktor Krum in the 3rd task. He tied with Harry grabbing the Triwizard Cup at the same time and was trasnported to the Cemetery where Voldemort Killed him. Was the first wand shadow that came out of Voldemorts wand when it connected with Harry's.(GOF)

Cedric's Mother - Met with Harry after the Triwizard Tournament and told Harry to keep the winnings. Was comforted slightly that Cedric died just after Winning the Tournament.

House Elf - He is able to "apparate and disapparate" on the Hogwarts grounds. He warned Harry to stay away from Hogwarts in COS and caused him to recieve a warning letter from the Ministry of Magic about the illegal use of underage magic and magic being used in front of Muggles by levitating and dropping a pudding at the Dursley's when they has guests. Also tampered with a bludger to attack Harry during Harry's first

Quidditch match of that year. He was freed from the Malfoys when Harry tricked Lucius Malfoy into giving him a sock at the end of COS. He was given a job by Dumbledore as one of the Hogwarts' House Elves in GOF. He helped Harry in the 2nd task of the Triwizard Tournament by sneeking into Snapes office and giving Harry gillyweed in GOF. He told Harry about the Room of Requirement in OOTP, and warned them when Umbridge had found out about the DA. He loves clothes, especially socks.

Deatheater - Tortured countless Muggles and others who didn't support Voldemort, He was captured shortly after Karkaroff. Convicted of Kiling Gideon and Prewett. Escaped from Azkaban in OotP. Was in the Department of Mysteries during the battle near the end of OotP. Cursed Hermione.

Muggle - Reporter for the Seven O'clock News in OotP. She went to find out more about Bungy the budgie.

Brother of Albus - Member of the Original Order of the Phoenix - was prosecuted for using inappropriate charms on a goat. Dumbledore is not sure he can read. Moody thinks he's strange!

Headmaster at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry - Founder of the Order of the Phoenix. Famous for the 1945 defeat of the Dark wizard
Grindewald. Also for discovering the 12 uses for dragon's blood. Worked with Nicholas Flamel in alchemy. He is considered to be a great wizard. Left Harry with the Dursley's after Voldemort's attack. Arrived just in time to save Harry from Quirrel in PS/SS.
Gave Hagrid a job as Gameskeeper after he was expelled from Hogwarts. Was the only person to hear the Prophecy from Trelawney. Captured a large number of Deatheaters in OotP. Is the only wizard Voldemort is afraid of. Had turned down an offer to be Minister of Magic and the job was ultimately given to Cornelius Fudge.

Harry's cousin - He is a bully and was forced into dieting by his school because he no longer fit into any uniforms. Has always been spoiled by his parents. In OotP, Dudley was said to be the Jr. Heavyweight Boxing Champion.He was given a Pig's Tail by Hagrid in PS/SS, eaten a Ton Tongue Toffee that Fred had left behind in GOF, and was attacked by Dementors in OotP.

Dursley, Marjorie
Aunt Marge - Vernon's sister - Dislikes Harry, and uses every opportunity she can to criticize him and his family. Harry caused her to blow up like a balloon after a particularly bad comment she made about his parents in POA.

Dursley, Petunia Evans
Harry's Aunt - Lily's Sister - Married to Vernon Dursley - Took Harry in after the Attack on the Potters by Voldemort. Hates anything Magical. She is very nosey as to what is happening in the neighborhood. In OotP, Dumbledore sent her a howler stating "Remember my last" after which she insisted that Harry must stay with them.

Harry's Uncle by Marriage - Muggle - Obsessed with what others think and of being normal. He hates Owls after having the house filled with them in PS/SS when they were delivering Harry letters from Hogwarts. He is the director of a company called Grunnings, which makes drills.

Tries to do everything he can to make Harry miserable. Had tried to squash all the magic out of Harry prior to PS/SS.

Ravenclaw student - Cho Chang's best friend - Member of the DA - she told Umbridge about the DA and had the word SNEAk written across her face in purple pustules. Kingsley Shackelbolt modified her memory before she could tell Fudge about the DA.
