Well, I have my wristband! I'll be one of the first to get my book tonight at midnight at the Ball at Borders! That place is going to be soooooo packed! If anyone is going to be in Tulsa, I will be dressed as Molly, my daughter as Parvati, my other daughter as Ginny, and my older son as a dementor, and the youngest (4) as Dobby! (My hubby is going to be a muggle:))

Unfortunetly my family are all muggles and think I am about half crazy!! oh well you only live once. Althought my 15 year old is at this moment on his way to Pheonix's he said if he has time he will check out what is going on there and let me know. Have fun and enjoy your evening don't party to much because there will be some heavy reading later and more then likely a test perhapes NEWTS!:):):)

So we have a Witch, a muggle husband, and two half blood Prince, and two half blood princess. WATCH OUT>>>> everyone.

Just kidding..... have a great time there SPF. I have a Sorting hat that I will be wearing tonite along with my Sword of Gryffindor (if they allow it, which I doubt)
My muggle wife will stay home to take care of our 9 month old half blood princess.
One friend will dress up as Dumbledore, and another as Nymphadora Tonks.

well, thankgoodness the line wasnt too long, i got to angus and robertson about 1/2 hour before it came out. for the littler kids there was a pamphlet of puzzles to do like word searches and match the spell to what it does ( i am proud to say i got them all without peeking at the answers, but the wordsearch took me the whole half hour to do!) like i predicted i simply purchased my copy and ran for it!

We had a pretty good time at the party. I have a pic I will scan and get posted sometime soon. I was a bit disapointed though, the things the store promised were either over stated or forgotten completely. The "costume" contest was unorganized, and done in a way that was unfair to the smaller children (I won by the way) The prize wasn't even what was expected, they promised a book, and well, I got a book . . . a no name author, book had been marked down already to $2.50, and wasn't even Harry Potter related! you call that a prize? I would have been happy with a chocolate frog! The "trivia contest" was just a mass game of "BINGO" There was supposed to be a "Spell"ing bee where you competed matching spells and what they do . . . never happened:( The place was severely overcrowded and hot, by the release, it was literally wall to wall people with a few book shelves inbetween. The kids enjoyed some of the "classes" where they did some crafts Transfiguration=changing a "goblet" into a bird (painting a paper cup and gluing feathers and eyes on it) and "Care of magical Creatures= gluing felt pieces and multicolored pom-poms together in some form or another. The "Ball" was a laugh, only two people in the whole place dressed "formaly" and like the costume contest the prize was a throwaway item. I enjoyed haveing some fun with the kids earlier in the night, but if I were to do it again, I would have gone to the party early, then gone to Walmart later to get my book.
