The Site Guidelines and Rules
1) The Final Horcrux operates an Age Restrictive Policy - access to the site is permissible for anyone of or above 16 years of age. Part of the registration options requires you to be 16 or older for access - by misleading The Final Horcrux staff about your age, you break the Terms and Conditions of Use. For this, you will have your account locked and be banned.
2) Anyone found being rude, offensive, or undermining to the staff will have their accounts locked and be banned from The Final Horcrux.
3) No Internet links (URLs) are permitted to be posted on The Final Horcrux, unless it is crediting a source. You are not permitted to 'hotlink' images from other sites and are not permitted to hotlink images from The Final Horcrux on other sites. You will have your account locked and be banned from The Final Horcrux if you are found to have broken this rule.
4) Contacting other members from the The Final Horcrux community is allowed - under certain restrictions:
a) You may pass email addresses and instant messenger details via the personal messenger systems or email request form. You may not post your email address or instant messenger details in any of the forums or public areas of The Final Horcrux. You will have your account locked and be banned from The Final Horcrux if you are found to have broken this rule.
b)Please contact a member via PM or email form prior to adding them to your instant messenger - please respect other people's privacy and wishes!
5) Anyone found to have made inappropriate contact to a fellow member or staff member will have their accounts locked and be banned from The Final Horcrux. If you feel you are a victim of this , you must contact the Administrator Blaise or a member of staff straight away, preserving as much detail as possible – i.e. personal messages or posts.
The Final Horcrux accepts no liability and will not intervene if you take a fellow member out of the site and into instant messenger or email contact!
6) IRL (in real life) names and details are not permitted on The Final Horcrux. You have a forum alias for a reason - use it. Giving exact location details is also not permitted - this is to ensure the personal safety of an individual. Anyone found to have broken this rule will have their accounts locked and be banned from The Final Horcrux.
7) Please respect the intellectual rights of The Final Horcrux. You must contact the webmaster/administrator of The Final Horcrux if you wish to take any part of the site and contents for reproduction on another site, forum, or other web presence. Any site that plagiarises The Final Horcrux will be subject to a complaint being registered against them.
8) Anyone found to be exploiting loopholes in the Site Rules and Guidelines will be treated as if they had broken the rules, rather than bent them. The Final Horcrux does not tolerate loophole exploitation. If you do so, your account will be locked, and you will be banned.
9) Spamming (SPAM - Short Pointles Annoying Message) will not be tolerated in any of the on topic threads. The Final Horcrux is geared towards serious discussions on Harry Potter. Anyone found to be spamming will have their account blocked.
10) The The Final Horcrux staff reserve the right to edit, amend, close or delete any thread that it feels is not in keeping with the sites 'tone' or purpose.
When possible an 'edited by' notice will be made by the staff member explaining the edit - and in cases of delete or removal of a thread/post - a member of staff will undertake contacting the member to explain the reasons why it was done.
11)Double registering on The Final Horcrux is not allowed. To be fair to all members, we limit accounts to one per person. If you decide to register more than one account, we will trace it, and both of your accounts will be locked and you will be banned from the site.
